The state high-level clearance committee SHLCC chaired by chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday cleared 18 investment proposals worth Rs 34,432 crore with the potential to add 48,850 jobs. There are eight new projects, while 10 are about additional investments. Some of the proposed proposals are: Trualt Bioenergy's ethanol plant of 2000 kilo-litres per day capacity, Rs 3661 crore Toyota Kirloskar's hybrid vehicles, Rs 1573 crore Carl Zeiss India's Rs 977 crore, Prakash Sponge Iron's integrated steel plant of 0.2 mmtpa capacity Rs 232 crores and Chidanand Basaprabhu Kore Sahakari Sakkare Kharkhane's distillery ethanol plant
