Hong Kong logs 8,033 new COVID-19 cases, 20 more deaths

The Centre for Health Protection said the new cases included 7,530 local infections and 503 imported cases. There were 8,874 new cases reported on Saturday.

The CHP said that the city's death brought the city's death toll to 10,692 during the pandemic.

It said 12 residential care homes for the elderly and persons with disabilities had 16 new cases, while three schools each had to suspend one in-person class for a week due to infections.
