BEIJING - Comrade Jiang Zemin's Funeral Committee issued an announcement on Tuesday expressing gratitude for the condolences received over Jiang's passing.

Jiang was hailed as an outstanding leader who enjoys high prestige, recognized by the whole Party, the entire military, and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups.
Jiang was a great Marxist revolutionary, a great statesman, military strategist and diplomat, a long-time communist fighter, and an outstanding leader of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. He was the genesis of the Party's third generation of collective leadership and the principal founder of the Theory of Three Represents.
