Australian student named best scientific paper in Austria

Djenana Vejzovic, originally from Srebrenica, received the award for the best scientific paper for the year 2022 in Austria.

Vejzovic was awarded the best scientific paper produced by a young person for the past year by the Chamber of Commerce of Styria.

Vejzovic studied chemistry and obtained a master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biomedicine at Karl-Franzens University in Graz.

She was a teaching assistant at the university, which propelled her to high achievements, including awards and publications.

As announced by Edhem Custovic, a Tuzla citizen who lives in Melbourne and works at the renowned La Trobe University, the goal of this funding is to promote the exchange of knowledge between universities and industry.

This program is intended to make sure more economically relevant topics get their way into scientific work. There were more than 100 applications, and the prizes were awarded by an expert jury of ten members, Custovic announced on Facebook.

As a scientist, Djenana Vejzovic works at the Medical University in Graz.
