Pension increased by 11.1 pct. at emergency session of Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has made a decision to increase pensions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by 11.1 percent, at the first emergency session after the adoption of the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023.

The FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novali thanked the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples in the House of Peoples of the FBiH ParliamentFBiH Parliament for recognizing the importance of adopting the budget for this year.

The Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina was able to fulfill its promise to increase pensions by 11.1 percent as of January 1. I want to inform the pensioners that we have just held an emergency session of the Government of the Federation of BiH, and made the necessary decision so that the January pensions, increased by 11.1 percent, would be paid on time.

This is the largest individual increase in pensions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina so far. I am glad that we came to this solution in time to allow our pensioners to receive payment in advance. Today, we can confirm to them that they will not wait for the payment, according to the Prime Minister.

He reminded that pensions have been increased four times in the last ten months, which has had a significant impact on the position of pensioners in view of the price increase crisis.
