The National Representation of Student Councils NRSC in Bulgarian universities has organized a campaign to help the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, according to BTA reports. The initiative of the student councils is to collect warm children's, women's and men's clothes and shoes, all kinds of essentials, sleeping bags, blankets and bed linen, hygiene materials.
Donations will be collected today at the National Student House and the University of National and World Economy, after which they will be distributed directly to the affected areas and distributed to those in need. The students call for those who wish to help the victims to donate money through the Bulgarian Red Cross and SMS to number 1466 for all mobile operators.
The funds from SMS donations exceeded 125,000 euros, and nearly 400,000 euros have been deposited into the bank account opened by the Bulgarian Red Cross to help the people injured in the massive earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
