Second team of rescuers from Bosnia and Herzegovina travel to Turkey

The second team of rescuers from the Mountain Rescue Service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina FBiH GSS traveled to Turkey this morning, where they will join other teams in the rescue operation after the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and neighboring Syria.

The first rescue team left last night, and today we are sending the second team and the necessary logistics for their operation. The president of the FBiH GSS D enadin Velad i told FENA that more than 50 members of the FBiH Mountain Rescue Service are involved in the rescue operation in the areas affected by the devastating earthquake.

He said that the activities of the FBiH GSS will be coordinated with the Turkish agency AFAD, which is responsible for protection and rescue measures, and in accordance with the needs and priorities on the ground.

Other teams, including FBiH Administration of Civil Protection FUCZ and medics, who were trained to rescuing from the ruins, traveled from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Turkey.
