Xi Jinping to hold talks with EU ministers on Ukraine support

EU foreign and defense ministers meet in Brussels on March 20 to discuss the support for Ukraine. Justice ministers from more than 40 countries will meet in London on March 20. They will discuss scaling up support for the International Criminal Court that issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Chinese President Xi Jinping will embark on a three-day trip to Moscow in an apparent show of support for Vladimir Putin, The Telegraph reported. Russian President Vladimir Putin will be looking for more than ever for a show of solidarity from his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping when he welcomes him to Moscow on Monday, according to Reuters. Xi will be the first world leader to shake Putin's hand since the International Criminal Court ICC issued an arrest warrant for the Russian leader on Friday.

White House Spokesperson John Kirby told Fox News that any call by Putin and Xi for a ceasefire would be unacceptable, because it would ratify Russia's conquest to date. Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukraine's president, criticized China's peace proposal, UNIAN reported. He stated that China's peace plan lacks balanced logic and contains contradictions.
