Medical Marijuana, Cansortium and RWBYF name New CFOs

Medical Marijuana, Inc. MJNA appointed Timothy R. Scott to serve as its new chief executive officer, president and chairman of the board earlier this month, replacing Blake N. Schroeder.

Scott takes over the organization after serving on the company's board since 2015, as well as for several years on the Boards of both of the companies that comprise the company's investment holdings. He recently accepted a position as chief people officer.

We expect substantial consolidation in the industry and are positioning the Company to take advantage of it by undertaking significant financial and operational restructuring efforts to increase efficiencies, preserve and increase cash flow, incentivize key employees, and increase portfolio investments, Scott said.

Xebra, Cansortium and RWB Name New CFOs

Omar Garcia Abrego was appointed CFO and corporate secretary by Xbra XBRAD 9 Y.

Garcia Abrego is a Canadian chartered accountant, CPA, CA, as well as a certified public accountant CPC in Mexico with over 25 years of progressive international accounting experience in the public and private markets.

Cansortium Inc. TIUM CNTMF, which operates under the Fluent brand, tapped Jeffrey Batliner to oversee its financial department, replacing Liora Boudin, who served as interim CFO.

Batliner brings more than 25 years of financial expertise to Cansortium. He has recently served as CFO of Unrivaled Brands, a publicly traded cannabis firm, where he led three successful acquisition integrations, established efficient reporting processes and effectively controlled the company's cash flow.

Red White Bloom Brands Inc. RWB RWBYF has hired Edoardo Eddie Mattei as its CFO and corporate secretary. As of December, Mattei was contracted by the company in a fractional role to assist with the orderly transition of the Company's Finance, Information Technology, and Human Resources teams.

Jonathan P. Atwood was welcomed to the board of directors by Charlotte's Web Holdings, Inc.

Atwood brings extensive senior executive experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, with roles at Kraft Foods, Reynolds American, Unilever and British American Tobacco. He is currently the head of business communications for BAT.

4 Front Ventures Corp. FFNT FFNTF tapped veteran Kris Krane to its board of directors after the resignation of Kathi Lentzsch.

Krane has been a senior director of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws NORML, the executive director of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, and is currently chair of the National Cannabis Industry Association's board of directors. He served as president of 4 Front from 2011 to 2021.
