Netflix NFLX plans to release 40 new video games throughout the remainder of 2023, according to a press event.
The streaming giant in Los Gatos, California has 70 games in development with external partners, in addition to the 16 games currently being developed in-house, according to IGN. There are 55 games on Netflix's gaming platform.
The company didn't reveal many details on its upcoming games, but it did announce that the popular mobile puzzle games Monument Valley 1 and Monument Valley 2 will be coming to Netflix in 2024. The streaming platform teased the next game in its three-game deal with Ubisoft UBSFF, Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace, which will be released on April 18.
A new game from Netflix based on the reality dating show Too Hot to Handle will be released later this year, along with a new season of the show.
Leanne Loombe, the Vice President of External Games at Netflix, dodged the question and said that the company is very happy with the progress so far in terms of user growth.
