German envoy visits Bosnian Army barracks

High Representative Schmidt wanted to visit the barracks as the location where the largest number of members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina operate.

He remembers the period when he was the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany and when the German contingent of international peacekeeping forces handed over the Rajlovac Barracks to the management of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Deputy Minister Gali and High Representative Schmidt visited the military clinic and School of Foreign Languages of the BiH Armed Forces in Rajlovac.

Their main host was the site commander Brigadier Jasmin aji. The High Representative was interested in the living and working conditions in the barracks, the capacities and available resources of the military clinic and the School of Foreign Languages.

Schmidt stressed that it is important for every army to have all the necessary resources for work and that the importance of education of the armed forces personnel.

He attended the German language class, where he talked with the course participants.
