In a video message released Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for his visit to Kyiv for a bilateral summit.
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine received a security package from and reached a strong agreement with Japan, and he is thankful for the productive visit made on Tuesday by Kishida.
Kishida said at Kyiv meeting with Zelenskyy that Japan will provide Ukraine with $470 million in additional aid in fields such as energy and $30 million in new aid for nonlethal defense equipment, as well as its war with Russia.
