Sony has announced that PlayStation VR 2 will be available for purchase in retailers soon, though no specific date has been given.
The company, based in Tokyo, made the statement via Twitter.
The PS VR 2 can still be ordered from PlayStation Direct, where it has been sold solely for the past two months since its launch.

The VR 2 headset is $549.99 and the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle is $599.99. It's also more expensive than the PS5, which is needed to operate the VR headset.
The device has been experiencing a slow launch, as it sold fewer than 300,000 units in its initial weeks on the market.
It is a far cry from Sony's initial goal of producing approximately 2 million units for PSVR 2's launch window.
Consumers worldwide are facing rising costs of living, rising interest rates, and increased layoffs, said Francisco Jeronimo, a researcher at IDC. Under the current economic situation, VR headsets are not a top-of-the-line item for most consumers. He added, I suspect a price cut on the PSVR 2 will be needed to avoid a complete disaster of their new product.
IGN said discounts for PS VR 2 may be available in the future, with more widespread availability in physical and online stores.
PlayStation VR 2 sales fail to impress, Less than 300,000 units sold in the first month.
