On Thursday, the supreme court in West Bengal has halted the ban on the screening of the film 'The Kerala Story' in the state. The court said West Bengal is duty-bound to keep law and order, putting a stay on the state government's order. The court said that law cannot be used to put a premium on public intolerance, instead all films will land in the same spot.

Earlier on May 12 the Supreme Court in West Bengal had pulled up the government's decision to ban 'The Kerala Story' in the state. Why hasn't the Kerala story been published in Bengaluru? The film is going to be released in the rest of the country, the court said.
