Nvidia founder says he's not afraid of AI

While some fear AI may take their jobs, someone who specializing in AI will be able to do so. Nvidia Corp. founder and chief executive Jensen Huang, speaking at the commencement address, said: Those were the words of Nvidia Corp. founder and Chief Executive Jensen Huang.

For graduates, Huang said, firms and individuals alike must become familiar with artificial intelligence or risk missing out.

Agile firms will take advantage of AI and boost their position. Companies less so will perish, he said, according to media reports. While some fear AI may take their jobs, someone who specializes in AI will be on the verge of getting a job. Last week, Nvidia stock NVDA surged more than 25 percent after a blowout earnings report that predicted a big jump in quarterly earnings due to a boom in chips it sells for AI. Nvidia shares surged to an all-time high Friday, after the company closed in on a $1 trillion valuation.

In 40 years, we created the PC, internet, mobile, cloud, and AI era. What it is, run after it like we did. Run, don't walk, Huang said. You're running for food or you're running from becoming food. He cites his own company's early stumbles. I encountered failures in Nvidia - great big ones. Confronting our error, Nvidia saved Nvidia, with humility, asking for help. When Huang called the AI revolution a perfect year to graduate, he referred to it as the rebirth of the computer industry. AI has opened immense opportunities, he said, stressing that graduates must take advantage of AI and do amazing things with an AI copilot by your side. Did Nvidia just create a stock bubble? If so, why?
