Pokemon Go developer Niantic launches Monster Hunter Now

A sample image of Monster Hunter Now c Niantic. The Pokemon Go developer, Niantic Inc. and Capcom Co., announced Monster Hunter Now, a real-world action RPG mobile game for iOS and Android devices, in September.

The app will allow players to view the fantasy role-playing game from the real world, searching for monsters that appeared on their smartphone screens while walking around the neighborhood.

The title is based on Capcom's popular Monster Hunter video game series that has sold more than 90 million units since its release in 2004.

Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom, both co-developed by Nintendo Co and Niantic, are among the Pokemon Go and Pikmin Bloom co-developed by Niantic and Nintendo Co.

A U.S.-based software developer, Niantic, said it spent four years working on the project with Capcom.

It will be the ultimate experience for anyone who has dreamt of facing off epic monsters and battling them with friends, said Niantic CEO John Hanke.
