Lee will be accompanied by Deputy Finance Secretary Michael Wong Wai-lun, and about 30 high-level representatives from industry and commerce, financial services, transportation, logistics and e-commerce, and the innovation and technology sectors.

Lee said that ASEAN is the second largest trading partner of Hong Kong, with robust economic development and unlimited potential. This is Lee's second visit to ASEAN countries since he took office in July 2022.

Lee will meet with local politicians and business leaders to draw attention to Hong Kong's unique advantages of having strong support of the motherland and being closely linked to the world under the one country, two systems principle. He will also visit several enterprises and major infrastructure projects to explore cooperation in trade and infrastructure.

CE leads the delegation to begin a four-day GBA trip in Shenzhen.

In February, Lee took a similar trip to the Middle East to promote the city and explore new cooperation opportunities.

In April, Lee, with a high-level delegation, made another effort to look for cooperation in four cities of the GBA of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, namely Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan and Guangzhou.
