In a major breakthrough, the Narcotics Control Bureau of Guwahati and Imphal has successfully destroyed an international trafficking network of precursors chemical used to manufacture drugs that included the illegal trade of pseudoephedrine from India to Myanmar. The drug operation resulted in the seizure of 110.5 kilograms of pseudoephedrine in tablet form and the arrest of seven individuals so far. Md Abdul Wakil, a graduate from Jamia and an MBA, has been apprehended. He utilized a business-to-business B2B platform for the trafficking of Pseudoephedrine, a business-to-business B 2 B platform. In addition to contacting one Bhadresh Patel from Ahmedabad, he obtained 2000 packets of Phifed tablets containing Pseudoephedrine HCl for which he used fake authorization in the name of a Store, Aizawl. He harvested 533 packets of 110.5 kg, part of the 1,500 packets of pseudoephedrine he received. Anilbhai Nayaka and Nitin Kr Panchal have been arrested who were entrusted with the tasks of placing orders for pseudoephedrine and engaging in the fraudulent labeling of the products. Bhadresh Patel, the mastermind behind the diversion of Pseudoephedrine, has been identified. During the raid, NCB discovered several counterfeit labeled items on numerous buildings, such as offices, godowns, and residences. This includes fake labels of Colzen and Levocet. It's worth noting that 1.3 million tablets of Colzen were seized in Myanmar, highlighting the international nature of this illicit trade network. The team NCB of Guwahati and Imphal has the commitment to thoroughly investigate and dismantle the entire network involved in this illegal operation, and this operation and subsequent arrests mark a significant achievement in the fight against illegal drug trafficking.
