The Vikram lander, which landed on the uncharted moon-less South Pole on Wednesday, became the first country to do so.
India also became the fourth nation after the US, Russia, and China successfully conducted a manned moon landing mission.
The spacecraft was launched on July 14 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
