Russian government to extend subsidies for interest on aircraft

Russian government will extend subsidies for interest on loans used for purchase of Russian aircraft through 2023 MOSCOW. By 2023, the Russian government plans to extend loans for the purchase of Russian aircraft to loans under the guarantee of interest rates, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said. By providing financing for leases and reducing the final price of more than 20 aircraft, including the Superjet 100, Mi-8 and Ansat medical helicopters, Mishustin said. To expand the production of MS-21 airliners, there are plans to change the rules for granting subsidies from the federal budget. The decision will give an opportunity to a number of aircraft enterprises to use about 20 billion rubles for technical overhaul, the prime minister said. The plan also involves reducing the reserve of spare parts and equipment: the volume of reserve will be determined on the basis of the total cost of technical property needed to maintain airworthiness, Mishustin said.
