China Eastern Airlines has announced that it will launch a new direct flight route between Shanghai and Istanbul from September 28. This marks the first time a Chinese airline has opened the route between Shanghai and Istanbul, linking these two renowned global cities and significant air hubs through a new aerial route. MU703 and MU704 flights are operated 3 times a week. The outbound flights will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 1:30 a.m. Beijing time and arriving at Istanbul Airport at 8:30 a.m.. The return flights will depart from Istanbul at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and arrive at Shanghai at 5:30 a.m. Beijing time the following day. The flight schedule needs to consider the convenience of passengers. Tourists arrive in Istanbul at 8:30 a.m., allowing for connection to later flights to destinations in Europe, Africa, and other regions. Passengers can instantly take direct flights to the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Taiwan region, as well as to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea if they arrive at Shanghai Pudong.
