The All volunteer Nora Springs Fire Department will hold its fundraising event at the fire barn, 45 N Hawkeye Avenue in Nora Springs, on Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature a free-will donation lunch, a bake sale, a silent auction, and indoor and outdoor vendors. To donate to the fire department, 10% of all vendor sales will be donated to the fire department.
The money raised will be used for trainings and safety equipment for firefighters.
Sarah Avery, a fire-fighter, has years of experience running the gamut from worrying at home to planning fundraisers. Avery has over 100 items in stock and is confident there's something for everyone.
As a community, he said, we can connect as a community.
