BitBoy Crypto investor Ben Armstrong arrested after live stream confronting former business partner

Ben Armstrong was arrested after live-streaming himself attempting to confront a former business partner, the crypto investor and consultant Carlos Diaz, at his home.

The influencer and crypto investor was released on bail Monday, charged with 'loitering/prowling' and'simple assault by placing another in fear, according to CoinDesk, which cites records from the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.

Armstrong paid $2,600 bond and was released from prison after eight hours in the jail, according to a blog post on X, formerly Twitter.

In August, Armstrong was sacked by BitBoy Crypto and has since tried and failed to reclaim the firm from its owner, the HIT Network, through an emergency injunction. He also posted a YouTube video owning up to mistakes he made that led to his ouster and said he would collaborate with the HIT Network. He also revealed that he had an affair that chipped away at his image as a family man.

The conflict boiled over into Monday's live stream posted to X, where Armstrong can be seen ranting about Diaz's theft of his Lamborghini.

Armstrong is later captured in the live stream being arrested by police, whom he calmly greeted with a s it going? He asked them constantly to stop walking toward them and drop his phone and fanny pack. Armstrong said he was not armed but that he had a weapon in the backseat of his car, and when the police officers asked who else was in his car, hehésited before replying that Cassie, the woman he had an affair with, was in his car.

Crypto Twitter was reacting, with some claiming that his actions were either a sign of crypto's rock bottom or the beginning of another bull run.
