Ledger, the cryptocurrency wallet provider, has teamed up with art auction house Sotheby's to offer exclusive benefits to digital art collectors.
The deal is expected to begin in 2024, when buyers of the most valuable digital art at Sotheby's will receive a limited-edition Ledger x Sotheby's Nano X hardware wallet.
The collaboration will also likely feature the release of a special edition of the Ledger Stax in the near future.
Sotheby's elite collectors can now enjoy a premium 'white-glove concierge onboarding' facilitated by Ledger, which will seamlessly integration them into the Ledger Academy's educational resources.
The move is part of Ledger's strategy to become a key player in the digital art industry.
The firm began the development of an NFT Art collection last year and set up a fund to assist artists globally.
The museum has also participated in notable auctions, such as featuring prominent digital artworks as well as an auction dedicated to famous generative artist Vera Molnàr.
Our goal is to build a comprehensive digital art environment for collectors and this partnership with Ledger is a key step in that development, he said.
