BEIJING - China's centrally managed state-owned enterprises in strategic emerging industries surged more than 30 percent from a year earlier in the first eight months of 2023, according to the country's top state-asset regulator.
The state-owned assets supervisory and administration commission of the state council said such investments totalled more than 840 billion yuan during this period.

Last year, investment of central SOEs in strategic emerging industries accounted for more than 20 percent of the total investment made by these firms, according to a report released by the Commission's research center.
