US Department of Justice files fentanyl charges against Chinese nationals

The U.S. Department of Justice filed a series of charges Tuesday against several Chinese businesses and their employees in the latest round of charges related to the production and trafficking of fentanyl, a network that depended on cryptocurrency payments.

The U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control also sanctioned the list of Chinese citizens on Tuesday, identifying 16 associated crypto wallets.

The US Department of Justice has said that the Florida network of 28 businesses and individuals involved in making fentanyl and methamphetamine and the sale of precursor chemicals used to make the illegal drugs.
