XRP gains 44.22% after judge denies SEC request

The XRP token gained 44.22% after a federal judge denied the request by the SEC to overturn its recent loss against Ripple Labs. On Tuesday, XRP was traded at US$0.5308 at 2:45 p.m. in Hong Kong, according to CoinMarketCap data.

The SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple in December 2020 alleging that Ripple's sale of XRP was an unregistered securities offering. The SEC also charged Ripple's executive chairman Chris Larsen and chief executive officer Brad Garlinghouse as co-defendants, alleging they helped and aided Ripple's alleged violations.
