Ex-Alameda CEO tells Sam Bankman-Fried he gave her to commit crimes

Caroline Ellison, the former CEO and star witness at Alameda Research, took the stand today against alleged crypto crook Sam Bankman-Fried and told the jury that he directed her to commit crimes.

In a brief 15 minute appearance, Ellison said she had just spoken to the judge and was running for lunch before the case broke for lunch.

In private writings, Ellison said it was a good thing the FTX empire collapsed and admitted she wasn't up to the task of running Alameda.

Bankman-Fried was arrested just a month after his crypto behemoth filed for bankruptcy. In November, FTX, once one of the most recognized brands in the crypto industry, suddenly went bankrupt.

He is currently on trial for seven charges, including racketeering, and his trial is expected to last six weeks.
