Starting from Monday, cryptocurrency exchange platform Binance will no longer accept new users from the United Kingdom. This decision is in response to the country's crypto marketing rules, as stated by the company through a blog post. These regulations, which came into effect on October 8, allow firms registered with the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to approve their own advertisements. Alternatively, companies can seek approval from authorized entities. Binance had previously partnered with Rebuildingsociety.com to ensure compliance with the rules; however, last week, the FCA declared that this partnership did not possess the necessary authorization to greenlight crypto ads in the UK.
