China's shipbuilding industry reaches new heights as the country's first domestically-built large cruise ship completes its five-year journey of design, construction, and testing. Chen Gang, the General Manager of SWS, expressed the immense collaboration involved in the project, with participation from 361 first-tier suppliers, 1,105 second-tier supporting enterprises, and over 5,000 engineering technicians from 30 different countries. Incorporating a fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics, the vessel showcases a combination of traditional and modern styles throughout its interior design. Notable art decorations and wall paintings themed around the ancient Silk Road and the Maritime Silk Road adorn various public areas, including the main hall and theater. Passengers can indulge in a wide range of entertainment options, including sitcoms and immersive music shows. The vessel's theater, accommodating up to 1,000 people, will present a captivating musical drama for guests called [insert musical drama name], as confirmed by CSSC Cruise Technology Development Co., Ltd., the operator of the ship. The ship's commercial operations are scheduled to commence from the Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal on January 1, 2024, and the reservation for its inaugural voyage opened on September 20.
