myCharge Recalls Portable Battery Chargers Due to Overheating and Fire Hazards

myCharge, a Michigan-based company, is recalling approximately 567,000 portable battery chargers sold at Costco stores nationwide. The recall stems from 120 reports of the chargers overheating while charging, including two incidents linked to residential fires.

The recall encompasses myCharge POWER HUB All-In-One 10,000mAh portable chargers with model numbers AO10FK-A, AO10FK-B, and AO10FK-C. These chargers were sold at Costco stores and online between January 2022 and November 2023 for around $40.

myCharge has received five reports of the chargers overheating, including the two fires. Additionally, Costco has received 115 returns of the chargers, with customers reporting melting, expanding, smoking, fire, burning, exploding, or sparking. Fortunately, no injuries requiring medical attention have been reported.
