Rocket Lab USA Inc. RKLB revealed that its 51st Electron launch, titled ‘A Sky Full Of SARs’, will have a 14-day launch window starting on July 21 NZST / July 20 UTC from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula. This mission is specifically designed to deploy Capella Space’s Acadia-3 SAR satellite into Capella’s SAR satellite constellation in low Earth orbit. Rocket Lab CEO, Peter Beck, expressed his excitement about working with Capella once again, highlighting the team's dedication to successfully deliver the SAR satellite to orbit and expand Capella's constellation.

This launch will mark Rocket Lab's fifth mission for Capella Space, contributing to the development of the company's Earth-imaging constellation. Aside from the launch service, Rocket Lab is also supplying Capella Space with a custom extended fairing for the Acadia-3 satellite on Electron and a separation system manufactured by Rocket Lab. Recent data from Benzinga Pro indicates that Rocket Lab shares have seen a 12.5% increase over the past month and are trading above the stock’s 50-day moving average of $4.41. As of the latest update, Rocket Lab shares were up 0.38% after-hours Wednesday, reaching $5.15.
