Kedarnath Temple Committee Offers Free Accommodation to Pilgrims During Monsoon Season
The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has announced that it will provide free accommodation to pilgrims in all its rest houses during the monsoon season in case of road blockages. This decision comes in response to the recent cloudburst and landslides that affected the Kedarnath Yatra route.
BKTC President Ajendra Ajay stated that he has instructed officials to provide every possible assistance to pilgrims in any emergency. The committee has rest houses located at major points along the Kedarnath and Badrinath Yatra routes, where pilgrims can avail accommodation facilities at a minimal charge.
BKTC Distributes Fruits and Organizes Bhandara for Pilgrims
In addition to providing free accommodation, BKTC is also distributing fruits and organizing a Bhandara (community feast) in collaboration with Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Ltd (GMVN). These efforts are aimed at providing relief to pilgrims stranded in Kedarnath Dham due to the recent natural disaster.
Rescue and Relief Operations in Full Swing
