Phase 4 Voting in Uttar Pradesh
The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held on May 13th, with voters across 13 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh exercising their franchise. A total of 130 candidates are vying for seats in this phase, including prominent figures like SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj.
Kannauj: SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will face off against sitting BJP MP Subrat Pathak.
BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj will contest against SP's Annu Tandon.
BJP has fielded new candidate Ramesh Awasthi, while Congress has nominated Alok Misra.
Over 2.46 crore voters are eligible to cast their votes in this phase of the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh.
The fourth phase of the general elections encompasses 96 seats spread across 10 states/union territories. This includes voting in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir.
Several notable contenders are participating in this phase, including Madhavi Latha (Hyderabad), Bandi Sanjay Kumar (Karimnagar), Giriraj Singh (Begusarai), Y S Sharmila (Kadapa), Arjun Munda (Khunti), Shatrughan Sinha (Asansol), and Yusuf Pathan (Baharampur).
The remaining three phases of the Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for May 20th, May 25th, and June 1st. The results will be declared on June 4th, three days after the final phase of voting.
