Veteran BJP Leader LK Advani Discharged from AIIMS

LK Advani, a prominent leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been discharged from AIIMS after being evaluated by a team of doctors from various specialties, including urology and geriatric medicine. The 96-year-old former deputy prime minister underwent a minor procedure during his stay at the hospital and was admitted primarily for issues related to old age.

Born in Karachi in 1927, Advani has had a long and distinguished political career, having been a key figure in the formation of the BJP along with other members of the Jana Sangh who quit the Janata Party in 1980. He played a significant role in the Ram Temple movement and is known for his leadership within the BJP, having served as its president multiple times since its inception, as well as holding the position of leader of opposition during Manmohan Singh's first term as prime minister.

From his early days as a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to his tenure as the deputy prime minister of India, Advani's contributions to Indian politics have left a lasting impact on the nation's history.
