In a move to cater to its diverse customer base, Wendy's is testing Spanish-speaking AI capabilities in the drive-thrus of 28 company-operated restaurants in Florida and Ohio. The new Wendy's FreshAI Spanish-language ability allows customers to initiate their order in Spanish simply by saying "Spanish" or "Español" into the microphone. The system then responds and processes the entire order in Spanish, ensuring clear communication and accurate order fulfillment. This feature demonstrates Wendy's commitment to inclusivity and its dedication to serving all customers with the same level of care and attention.

Taco Bell is expanding its use of voice AI technology to hundreds of its drive-thru locations, while McDonald's recently decided to discontinue its Automated Order Taker pilot program.
