Veteran BJP Leader LK Advani Discharged from AIIMS

LK Advani, a veteran leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was recently discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after being admitted on the night of June 26. The 96-year-old politician was evaluated by a team of doctors specializing in urology and geriatric medicine and reportedly underwent a minor procedure during his stay at the hospital.

Having played a significant role in Indian politics, Advani was awarded the prestigious Bharat Ratna earlier this year, marking a distinguished career that saw him serve as the deputy prime minister of India during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's tenure. He was also instrumental in the formation of the BJP, alongside other members of Jana Sangh, after quitting the Janata Party in 1980. Throughout his political journey, Advani has been known for his contributions to various movements, including his pivotal role in the Ram Temple movement, and for holding multiple leadership positions within the BJP.
