BRS Denies Secret Understanding with BJP, Highlights Kavitha's Jail Time
KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has denied allegations of a "secret understanding" with the BJP. He pointed to his sister K Kavitha's ongoing imprisonment in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam as evidence against such claims.
Addressing a public gathering in Hyderabad, KTR questioned the logic behind a secret agreement with the BJP when his sister remains incarcerated. He emphasized that BRS remains committed to its principles and the people, despite facing challenges.
KTR expressed confidence in the party's future, stating that BRS will continue to work for the people and strengthen its position in Telangana. He highlighted the party's electoral successes since the formation of the state, despite facing opposition from various quarters.
The Congress party in Telangana had earlier alleged that BRS shifted votes to the BJP in the recent Lok Sabha elections. However, both BRS and BJP emerged as the major winners, securing eight seats each in the state.
