Decathlon Partners with Zepto for Faster Sports Product Delivery
Decathlon India has partnered with quick commerce company Zepto to offer faster delivery of sports and fitness products across the country. The partnership, announced in a press release on Friday, will allow users in 16 cities to shop Decathlon's wide range of products through the Zepto platform. This includes items for fitness, outdoor activities, water sports, team sports, and more.
This collaboration comes at a time when the demand for an active lifestyle in India is growing rapidly. Decathlon, committed to being part of this journey, aims to make sports products and equipment more accessible to millions of Indians. The partnership will leverage Zepto's quick commerce expertise to deliver products directly to customers' doorsteps, further strengthening Decathlon's mission to "move people through the wonders of sport."
Aadit Palicha, CEO of Zepto, expressed excitement about the opportunity to work with Decathlon and promote an active lifestyle. He believes that making fitness products more accessible will encourage more people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
This partnership is part of Decathlon's larger investment plan for India. The company recently announced plans to invest Rs 933 crore over the next five years, aiming to grow from 127 to 190 stores, strengthen its digital presence, and expand its "Make in India" initiative. Currently, 68% of Decathlon products sold in India are made locally, and the retailer plans to increase this to 85% by 2026.
