Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially submitted his nomination papers for the Varanasi parliamentary seat, sharing his mobile phone number and email contact as part of the election affidavit. In this documentation, it was disclosed that Modi's moveable assets amount to Rs 3.02 crore, with Rs 52,920 in cash, and he does not own any land, house, or car. Additionally, there was a notable rise in his taxable income from Rs 11 lakh in the fiscal year 2018-19 to Rs 23.5 lakh in 2022-23.

The nomination event witnessed the presence of several NDA leaders, Union ministers, chief ministers, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. However, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was absent due to health reasons. Modi arrived at the district collectorate elegantly dressed in a white kurta-pajama paired with a blue sadri, following which he performed an aarti on the banks of the Ganga at the Dashashwamedh ghat and offered prayers at the Kaal Bhairav temple in the city.

After completing the formalities of filing his nomination papers, PM Modi addressed local party members at the Rudraksha Convention Centre. During his speech, he highlighted the increased voter turnout per polling booth post the abrogation of Article 370, and urged for further awareness about BJP's schemes. Modi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the historic Varanasi constituency and emphasized the achievements made during his tenure. Moreover, he recognized the support of NDA allies, reiterating their joint commitment towards national progress.
