Egyptian President El-Sisi Meets with Danish and EU Officials to Discuss Gaza Conflict
On Monday, September 9th, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held separate meetings with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell. The meetings focused on the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the urgent need for a ceasefire.
President El-Sisi emphasized the importance of prioritizing de-escalation and reaching an agreement on a ceasefire. He also stressed the need to address the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and improve the living conditions of its residents.
The President reiterated Egypt's commitment to a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. He believes this is essential for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
The meetings were also attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
