The recent development in the case of former MP Prajwal Revanna involves a court in Bengaluru extending his police custody until June 10. Revanna found himself in legal trouble after being arrested by the Karnataka Police upon his arrival at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The arrest was made in response to allegations of sexual harassment against him.
Following his arrest, Revanna was taken into custody by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for further processing. In an attempt to gather more information and insights into the case, the SIT has involved a panel of doctors from the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Centre in Bengaluru. This panel was tasked with evaluating not just Revanna's physical health but also his psychological well-being, highlighting the seriousness and thoroughness of the investigation.
To delve deeper into Revanna's physical and mental state, he was taken to the A B Vajpayee Medical College Hospital in central Bengaluru for examination by a team of six doctors, which lasted over four hours. The purpose of this examination, according to police sources, was to compile a comprehensive profile of Revanna that could potentially serve as crucial evidence in the ongoing rape trials. While traditional potency tests are not usually necessary in rape cases, this detailed analysis could offer valuable insights for the investigation process, aiding in the establishment of a strong case against the accused.
