The Northeast Frontier Railway has revealed its plan to run 12 examination special trains to support candidates taking Grade III & IV exams in Assam on September 15, 2024. Apart from the special trains, the railway will extend the services of two pairs of regular trains to cater to the additional influx of exam candidates. The special trains will operate on specific routes and schedules to facilitate the transportation needs of the exam takers.
For instance, Train No. 05157 will depart from Alipurduar to Guwahati on September 14, with its return journey scheduled for September 15. Similarly, Train No. 05161 will operate between Mariani and Narangi, accommodating candidates traveling for the exams. Additionally, Train No. 05185 will serve the Jamira to Silchar route, easing the travel for candidates during the exam period. These measures aim to ensure candidates have reliable transportation options to reach their exam centers without facing challenges in commuting.
In addition to the special trains, the Northeast Frontier Railway will also prolong the services of existing trains such as Train No. 15703/15704 and Train No. 05801/05802 to accommodate the increased demand during the exam week. The extensions of these train services are intended to provide more travel choices for candidates appearing for the Grade III & IV examinations in Assam, enhancing the accessibility and convenience of reaching exam centers.
