A fire broke out in four shops in Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The fire was doused within 15-20 minutes by fire tenders that arrived at the scene promptly. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Earlier today, another fire broke out in an oil and chemical factory near the Muradnagar Canal bridge on Delhi-Meerut Road. The fire engulfed an industrial unit on the ground floor of a 2000 square meter plot. Drums of edible oil and other chemicals stored in the unit started exploding, causing the tin shed roof and boundary walls to collapse. The fire then spread to a cardboard factory on an adjacent plot.
Twelve fire tenders were rushed to the scene after receiving information from the Modinagar Fire Station Control Room. The fire was eventually brought under control.
