KTR Criticizes Telangana CM for Allegedly Targeting Poor Residents in Hyderabad

Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao launched a scathing criticism against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of causing distress for the residents of Hyderabad, especially during festive periods like Dussehra and Bathukamma. KTR made these remarks during an interaction with flood victims of the Musi River in Tulasi Nagar, Amberpet Constituency. He highlighted the plight of poor residents living in fear of their homes being demolished, expressing uncertainty about when such actions might be taken by the government.

KTR specifically accused CM Revanth Reddy of carrying out a plan that would negatively impact the poor, questioning the significant increase in the cost of the Musi project from the initial estimate by the Telangana government. He demanded that if the project proceeded, those affected should receive threefold compensation, job opportunities, and financial assistance. Additionally, KTR expressed his government's commitment to intervening if such actions persisted and ensured that the interests of the underprivileged would be safeguarded. The BRS Chief also raised doubts about the implementation of pre-election promises made by Revanth Reddy, particularly regarding welfare schemes for farmers, women, and the elderly. KTR criticized the Congress party for failing to fulfill its commitments and scrutinized their purported plans for Musi River's cleaning, suggesting ulterior motives of financial exploitation disguised as development efforts.
