Bulgaria Welcomes Investment in Digital Infrastructure and Connectivity
President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria expressed his country's eagerness to support investments in the development of digital infrastructure and connectivity. This statement came during a meeting with representatives of leading high-tech companies from the state of Virginia, USA. These companies specialize in defense, security systems, and digital and communication infrastructure.
The meeting also included Martin McDowell, the US Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the United States in Sofia. During their visit to Bulgaria, the US company managers will engage in discussions with representatives from Bulgarian businesses, scientific organizations, and state institutions. These discussions aim to explore potential future partnerships and further cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA.
Both parties acknowledged the critical role of improved transport, energy, and digital connectivity in modernizing the Bulgarian economy. Additionally, the modernization of the Bulgarian Armed Forces was also discussed during the meeting.
