Allegations of Election Fraud Prompt Urgent Response in Bulgaria

Following the parliamentary election in Bulgaria, there have been widespread reports and allegations of various forms of election fraud, such as vote manipulation, ballot rigging, vote-buying, and coercion. The Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Socialist Party-United Left has expressed significant concern over these allegations, stressing the urgency for relevant institutions to address these issues promptly to uphold the integrity of the election process.

The Executive Bureau highlighted the importance of legal processes and stated that only a court decision has the authority to alter the results indicated in the election protocols. Additionally, they emphasized the need for transparency and accountability within the electoral process to ensure that the democratic principles are upheld. Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has stated that his administration would provide an analysis of the alleged election violations to the interior minister, aiming to uncover the individuals responsible for any election rigging that may have occurred.
