Ola Electric Maintains Market Leadership in EV Two-Wheeler Segment

Ola Electric continues to dominate the Indian electric two-wheeler market, selling over 50,000 units and registering 41,605 units in October 2024. This represents a 74% year-on-year growth compared to the same month last year, solidifying the company's position as a major player in the industry.

The company attributes its success to its expansive portfolio, increased consumer demand, and a strengthened sales network across India. They have witnessed a significant rise in EV adoption, particularly in Tier 2 and 3 markets, and are confident this positive trend will continue.

Addressing Customer Concerns and Expanding Service Capacity

Despite its market leadership, Ola Electric has faced criticism on social media regarding its after-sales and customer service. In response, the company has taken several steps to address these concerns.

The Department of Consumer Affairs is currently investigating Ola Electric's claim of resolving 99% of customer complaints. Additionally, the company has expanded its service capacity by over 30%, adding 50 service centers and 500 technicians nationwide. This has helped clear two-thirds of the existing service backlog, with the remainder expected to be resolved soon.

Enhancing After-Sales and Ownership Experience

Ola Electric is committed to improving the after-sales and ownership experience for its customers. They have launched the #HyperService campaign, aiming to double their company-owned service network to 1,000 centers by December 2024. Additionally, they are onboarding 10,000 partners across sales and service by the end of 2025.

The company has also announced an EV Service Training Program to train 1 lakh third-party mechanics across India, ensuring every mechanic is EV-ready.

Expansive Portfolio and Upcoming Roadster Motorcycle Series

Ola Electric offers a wide range of electric scooters, catering to customers with different range requirements and budgets. Their S1 portfolio includes six offerings, with prices starting from Rs 74,999.

The company also recently announced the launch of its Roadster motorcycle series, comprising three models with prices starting from Rs 74,999. These motorcycles offer segment-first technology and performance features, further solidifying Ola Electric's commitment to innovation and leadership in the electric vehicle market.
