Haryana CM Slams Congress and National Conference Over Article 370 Resolution
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has criticized the Congress and National Conference alliance in Jammu and Kashmir for their resolution demanding the restoration of Article 370. He termed the resolution as "unfortunate" and questioned the Congress' stance on the issue.
Khattar's remarks came after the Jammu and Kashmir assembly passed a resolution on Wednesday, demanding the restoration of Article 370, which granted special status to the erstwhile state. The resolution was passed by a voice vote, with all parties except the BJP supporting it.
"Jammu and Kashmir was touching new heights of development. But Congress and Farooq Abdullah's party brought a resolution in the Assembly to restore Article 370 and 35A. This is unfortunate and Congress has silently supported it. Congress should clarify whether they stand with such forces that want to break this country," Khattar said.
Khattar Attacks Congress on Jharkhand and Maharashtra Elections
Khattar also launched a scathing attack on the Congress over the upcoming elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. He accused the party of lying to the people and said that their lies will not work in these elections.
"Their (Congress') lies worked in Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. Now their lies will not work. It did not work in Haryana and will not work in Jharkhand and Maharashtra either. Congress will be wiped out," Khattar said.
The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23. Maharashtra will go for assembly polls on November 20 and votes will be counted on November 23.
