Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially submitted his nomination papers for a third term from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. Along with revealing his contact information, Modi's affidavit detailed his assets, showing moveable assets worth Rs 3.02 crore, Rs 52,920 in cash, and a taxable income that doubled from Rs 11 lakh in fiscal year 2018-19 to Rs 23.5 lakh in 2022-23, while also noting his lack of land, house, or car ownership.

The nomination ceremony in Varanasi was attended by various NDA leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers, with notable absences such as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar due to health reasons. Modi, clad in a white kurta-pajama paired with a blue sadri, began the day with rituals on the banks of the Ganga and at the Kaal Bhairav temple before addressing local party members at the Rudraksha Convention Centre.

During his address, PM Modi highlighted the increased voter turnout since the abrogation of Article 370 and urged BJP party members to raise awareness about the party's schemes. Via social media, Modi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve Varanasi, emphasized NDA allies' commitment to national progress, and showcased the achievements during his tenure.
